On Sunday, May 5, 2019 the 37th District Congressional Art Competition was held at The Metaphor Club’s exhibition space at 4333 Crenshaw Blvd. 100 student works of art were on display. This year’s 1st Place Winner, Norma Carrillo from LA High (one of the schools LA Guest Artists has been working closely with this semester) will have her piece hung at the Capitol Building in Washington, DC She will also be a guest of Congressmember Karen Bass in Washington during the installation. Here are highlights from the show.
